madu eneli new book

Are you in middle school or headed there?

Do you want tips, ideas and strategies to help you be successful in school?

This book will inspire you to make the most of your middle school years. What you do during these years can set you up for success in High School and pave the way for college scholarships.

Now is the time to dream big, work hard, have fun, and make new friends. Choose to be the best student you can be. You can do this!

Dear Friend:

I am an eighth grader at Union Grove Middle School and have been nominated to represent my school and community as a member of the Middle School Presidential Inauguration Conference in Washington D.C.

The Congressional Youth Leadership Council nominates exceptional students from around the country to attend an experiential educational program. I have enclosed a sample of our itinerary for your review. As you can see, this will be a powerful experience, enabling me to interact with many prominent men and women whom most of us only read about in the news.

Attending this program will enable me to further my interest in the fields of Psychology and Fitness and reach my career goals of becoming an entrepreneur and developing creative, fun, athletic and educational outlets for children and young adults. . I am an “A” student and involved in a variety of activities including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, J2S2, INTERACT Club, Tennis, Football, Track and basketball. I was invited to take the SAT as a 7th grader and also participate in the Duke University program for talented students. I am also active in the youth ministry at my church, Destiny World Outreach Center. I was recently awarded MVP for 7th grade tennis, and am the reigning District champion for 7th grade Tennis boys for the Killeen Independent School District.

Imagine if you had been given this opportunity for a life-changing experience when you were in school and were unable to participate for lack of funds. That is why I am writing to you today.

My participation in the Conference depends on whether I can raise $3,000 in sponsorships. (The Conference tuition is $2,945 and my travel to the Conference will be $650.) I am investing every dollar I can of my own money to make sure I don’t miss out on this unique experience and I have recently published a book to raise the funds I need. The title of my book is Am I Ready for Middle School? and is designed to help other middle school students by sharing lessons I have learned from both my successes and mistakes while in Middle School. My book can be purchased online directly from me using this link, or from www.lulu.com.

I am hoping that you or your organization will consider assisting me with all or some of these costs. My tuition must be paid no later than October 1, 2012.

Your support for my sponsorship request would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me at (217) 304-6997 or you may contact the Middle School Presidential Inauguration Conference at (703) 584-9894 for any further information. Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
Madu Eneli

are you ready for middle schoolWhat teens and others are saying about Am I Ready for Middle School?

It is great to see a young man take so much pride in himself and his path for greatness. Oftentimes we get the "keys to success" and keep them to ourselves. The fact that Madu has seized the opportunity to share his knowledge clearly shows the sign of a leader in the next generation. He truly understands that power and knowledge are nothing if you keep it to yourself. I personally look forward to his continued success.

Besides the palpable practical utility of this part diary, part travelogue, part inspirational work, the uncluttered lucidity of this juvenile gem is its most potent power. It is wondrous to realize that a thirteen year old conceived and wrote this work on his own; yet, that is of the very essence of God-given talent and genius.

Professor Emeka Aniagolu, Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware Ohio

I have watched Madu grow up over the years since he was a toddler. I knew then that he had great accomplishments in his future. There has been a confluence of innate leadership qualities and intelligence, sheer determination, and great parenting culminating into what you see and will see in Madu going forward.

Ike Uzoaru, M.D. Chairman, Department of Pathology Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois

In a world scarred by broken marriages and broken promises, the thoughts and words of a thirteen year old mean the world to me. Madu has flawlessly begun the journey of dispensing to our world the wisdom of a teen nurtured on the cradle of a rich heritage bequeathed by parents who kept their promise. Thanks Madu for setting the pace.

I know Madu very well and I am glad he is writing this book because Diary of A Wimpy Kid doesn’t even relate to middle school. It’s a good thing someone is writing the truth. I know he has a great imagination, and I have no doubt this book is going to be amazing.

Clayton Hagey, 13 years old

What a treasure to this generation Madu is. With the release of his first book, Madu's star is already shinning very brightly. More importantly, he is setting a light onto the pathway of his peers and juniors that will make the transition to middle school. I'm sure his book will be on the recommended reading list for his peers. I look forward to even greater things in his future as he has set the bar high for himself and for his siblings.

This book is a much needed book because it tells it like it - from the mind of a child! Fantastic concept, written in a language that is easily understood by the intended target audience. Well done, Madu, great job, and more grease to your elbows!

I am compelled by the passion and drive Madu has to inspire his generation at a young age by not only this book but through his daily walk and example. The insight in this book will help you embrace the importance of the practical lessons in life.

Congrats Madu !!! Lead the Way.

Kimberly Babb, Teacher

This book is an outstanding display of what our young people are capable of doing. I was greatly moved by the young Madu's ability to condense lessons learned both at home and at school into simple verbage that any youngster or adult can relate to. A well prepared and insightful book project. I will donate to his fundraiser, and cannot wait for my 6 year old daughter to read and understand this!
